Melisa Le Rue is releasing her debut EP. There will be 5 great rhythmically evoking songs, 1 of which that has inspired a global initiative to bring people together through music. Inspiration is pulled from many different places and one of the most inspiring platforms is music. UNITE, written by Melisa Le Rue is an uplifting song with one simple, inspiring message, UNITE.
Half Filipino, half British and culturally inspired, Melisa Le Rue is a singer song-writer whose style is uniquely intriguing and soulfully enriched. Her music lies at the crossroads of Liberal arts and Soul. Beautiful, charismatic, quirky and powerfully driven to express herself through her music to the world, Melisa Le Rue is ready to grace stages from London to New York City. She started her career performing at festivals and music venues with the likes of Yarah Bravo and the Latin Dub sound system in London and Europe, and then she moved to Dubai and started performing Jazz and Soul at events, bars & nightclubs, continually developing her live performance style. With her debut EP launch quickly approaching, she is preparing to take her performances on the road, but this time singing her own songs.
This summer, Melisa Le Rue will debut her self-entitle EP and you have the unique opportunity to be a part of this highly anticipated debut! The EP will have 5 songs, ‘Lost Soul’, ‘So Long’, ‘Let’s Go’, ‘Life is Beautiful’ and the globally inspiring ‘UNITE’. This is the first EP from Melisa Le Rue and the pre-releases are exclusive only to kickstarter supports. This will be a special edition pre-release which will include a bonus track! Our goal is to release the full EP by September 2012, however we need to start preparation now and with your support, we can deliver an amazing EP! . UNITE has captured the attention of the world famous, two time grammy award winning group, The Soweto Gospel Choir and we have the honor of having this amazing south African choir featured on the song UNITE. This June, we are scheduled to go on a journey to South Africa to record with the choir in preparation for Melisa Le Rue’s debut EP. With your support, this trip will be an amazing documented experience that we hope will touch people from all walks of life once we launch the EP!
